Thanks to Mark & Patty Otto and their crew for a wonderful Mexican Dinner party last evening. About 60 members and guests enjoyed a great meal and outstanding service from Becky at the bar. Congrats to all!!
June Membership Meeting – Tuesday June 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Upcoming Social events:Tuesday June 7 is the alternate Tuesday in support of LYSS. On the menu is Great Lakes Salmon bites, french fries and coleslaw for a donation of $10. Serving from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. This also will occur every other Tuesday throughout the season.
Friday, June 10 is Cocktails at the Club once again beginning around 5:30 p.m. until ?. Bring an appetizer if you wish and see who shows up.
Saturday June 11: Swiss Steak Dinner hosted by Denny & Luci and Mom Lavis! Social gathering at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m. Menu to include Swiss steak, mashed potatoes & gravy, candied carrots, fennel & chopped apple salad, rolls, dessert. This will be a $15 per person event, cash or punch combination. Please call or text Sandy Gomez at (231) 690-6224 to make a reservation. Reservations will close at the end of the day Wednesday June 8
Tuesday, June 14, FERGBURGS in support of the Ludington Youth Sailing School (LYSS). Serving from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. For a $10 donation, you receive the best burger in town (grilled onions & cheese if you desire) along with a choice of sides. Fergburgs will occur every other Tuesday throughout the 2022 season.
Friday June 17 – “Kick Off to Summer Cocktail Party” from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sure to be the highlight of our summer social calendar is the fundraiser for the Ludington Schools Youth Resource Center. Come in your cocktail dress or cut offs, just come to have fun! We ask that you call Sandy (231-690-6224) to make a reservation so that we can plan accordingly. We will be serving an array of hors d’oeuvres with Becky at the bar. This is a donation event with all proceeds going to The Resource Center, so, no punches please. See ya there. Sailing Action:Good morning Friends,Thanks to all who participated in our first race of the season last night. We were treated to a beautiful, although a bit chilly night on the water.Congratulations to Tom Paine and the crew of “Seaquel” who set the pace and brought home the bullet and line honors in the Spinnaker division. Dave Golder and the crew of “Serendipity” bested the field in the Main & Jib division, followed by Jeff Laman’s “Harmony”, Gary and Sheryl Ferguson aboard “Dragonfly” and last but not least yours truly on the “Poppy T”.
I appreciate all who came out, and hope to see more of you out there next week.
