Good evening LYC. There are a couple of updates/changes to the “Happenings” I sent yesterday.
First, the menu for next Saturday’s “Surf & Turf” dinner has a slight change. Burger Sliders are out and a 4 oz. Choice Top Sirloin steak is in.
Everything else is the same. Make your reservations with Sandy asap!Second, I am attaching an updated Social Calendar. On Saturday July 25, Jay and Cindy Muller are once again hosting a mid-morning/early afternoon Brunch fundraiser for the Sailing School. If you attended their Brunch last year, you know what you’re in for. If you missed it last year, mark your calendars—I assure you, you will not be disappointed!

Good morning LYC friends!
It’s the first Saturday of the month which makes it National Play Outside Day… it’s not just for the kiddos!
This week at LYC:Tuesday June 9– Alternate Tuesday supporting the Sailing School with Peel & Eat Shrimp, Cole Slaw, & Ranch Red Skin potatoes from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. $15 per person. Members and their guests are welcome.
Friday June 12 –
“Cocktails at the Club,” starting at 5:30 p.m. As in past years, this is an informal gathering for members to socialize and catch up on activities. If you wish to bring an appetizer to share, feel free to do so, but it’s certainly not required. Plan to stop by and join the fun!Saturday June 13 – The first in the series of offshore sailboat races for the 2026 season starts at 12:30 p.m. The entire 2026 racing schedule is attached.
Saturday June 13 Dinner Event: The Youth Sailing School team is hosting a “Surf & Turf” dinner. Social activities start at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at your table beginning at 7:00 p.m. Menu to include Peel & Eat Shrimp, Fergburg Sliders, Ranch Redskin Potatoes, Cole Slaw, and an Ice Cream Bar dessert. Cost is $20 per person. Make your reservations now by calling or texting Sandy Gomez at 231-690-6224. Reservations close at the end of the day on Wednesday, June 10.
Sunday June 14 – Bill Walker wants to let everyone know that there will be a Celebration of Gayle’s Life at the Pentwater Yacht Club from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome.
