It looks like we are in for a week of sunny skies with temps in the mid 60’s…perfect!
We had a great Bloomer Cup Sailboat race today. Twelve boats entered, 3 did not start due to a variety of reasons, 2 did not finish for the same but 7 did finish. Results are pending as of this writing. Forty six members and guests enjoyed Fergburgs and beverages following the race served through clubhouse windows, a first for Bloomer Cup post race activities.
Tuesday, September 15: Last Fergburgs of the season from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in support of the Youth Sailing School. There will be burgers to order as usual and a choice of 2 different sides (potato salad, cole slaw, beans, or cream corn). Order and pickup at the south kitchen door. Seating is outside on the deck, picnic tables, or bring your own chair & table for the yard. Or, grab & go! One person at a time (mask required) will be allowed through the west deck door to order from the bar. Since this is a fundraiser for LYSS, membership card “punches” will not be honored; cash or check will. $10 per person.
Wednesday September 16: Final race of the Corona Cup Sailboat Racing series. 6:00 p.m. start. If you wish to race or catch a ride, be at the club by 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday October 13 is the annual membership meeting. If nothing changes Covid wise, we will be limited to 10 participants at the club. We will try to conduct a ZOOM meeting so the members can join in. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
