Tuesday August 2 is Salmon Bites in support of the Sailing School. By now, y’all know the drill. Ten bucks gets you salmon, fries, and coleslaw. Serving starts at 5:30 p.m. and continues until 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday August 2 is the August Membership Meeting that convenes at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday August 4, sailors and interested crew gather for the weekly race series, details to follow later on in the week.
Friday August 5 is Cocktails at the Club starting about 5:30 p.m. and continuing on. Bring an appetizer to share if you wish and join this very informal gathering of members.

Thank you – to Bill & Paulette DeHommel for providing LYC Burgee bumper stickers in support of LYSS. The stickers are on the bar and the suggested donation of $3 goes to the sailing school.
The Big Dig – work on the north seawall awaits the arrival of repair materials. Removal of fill behind the wall immediately relieved much pressure and actually allowed the wall to move back south several inches. While we wait, enjoy the view of exposed sheet steel!
Finally! – our March 15 request to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission to add space and a SDM carryout license went before the Commission last Thursday and was approved. We now await the arrival of our new license.
