Whew!  Two evenings of Shrimp Boil were another success.  One hundred and eighteen members and guests attended over the weekend and the rains held off.  It could not have happened without the entire shrimp crew of: Mark & Vicki Hill, Jim & Connie Gillette, Jim & Cathy Kuk, Rodger & Patty James, Bill & Sylvia Edwards, Jill Kaines, Gary Ferguson & Sheryl Baun, Steve Miller, Becky Erickson, & Luci & Denny Lavis. Thanks to all in attendance.  Looking forward to next year!!
The supply of blue LYC ball caps (donated by the Goodloe’s and the Shapleigh’s as fundraiser for the Sailing School) have completely sold out.  Rest assured however more are on the way thanks once again to the Goodloe’s and Shapleigh’s!!

Public Service Announcement – the plastic wine glasses in use at the club are reusable!  We can wash them in the dishwasher.  Please do not toss them in the trash!!

Events this coming week:

Tuesday August 10 – Bob Kesling’s Salmon Bites (salmon courtesy of Andy Klevorn), french fries, and cole slaw serving from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This is a $10 per person fundraiser in support of the sailing school.
Friday August 13 – Cocktails at the Club beginning about 5:30 p.m.

Mark your calendar:Tuesday August 17 – Fergburgs, serving from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., a fundraiser in support of the sailing school.
Friday August 20 – Cocktails at the Club beginning about 5:30 p.m.
Saturday August 21 – Brat & Corn Dinner hosted by Pete & Jackie Christensen.  They are looking for members to help with the dinner.  Please call them at 231-757-3355 if you can lend a hand.  Reservations will be taken starting August 15.
