Tuesday September 17:  FERGBURGS last of the season!!  Serving from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  $6.00 donation per person to the LYSS will get you a burger.  Bring a dish to share if you wish.
Friday September 20:  Cocktails at the Club.  Starts around 5:00 p.m.  Bring an appetizer if you wish and see who shows up.
Saturday September 21:  Adam’s Rib Dinner!!  This is a great rib meal with sides for $15 per person.  Social starts at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.  Please call or text Sandy at 231-690-6224 for reservations no later than Tuesday September 17…this dinner is quickly filling up!!
Sandy is also taking reservations for the OKTOBERFEST dinner on Saturday September 28.  You do not want to miss Gail Kretchman’s German menu offerings!
 
Mark your calendar for Saturday October 5 for the annual Christmas in October semi-potluck dinner to benefit the Ludington High School student resource center.  Roast turkey will be provided; please plan to bring a complementary side to share.
Finally, the annual membership meeting is Tuesday October 15 this year beginning at 7:30 p.m.  A potluck dinner will precede the meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Below, you will find the recipe for Connie Gillette’s Asian Salad that everyone raved about.
ASIAN SALAD
GREENS: 1 head Bok Choy or Napa Cabbage (chopped)
TOPPING: 2 pkg. Ramen Noodles (any flavor – don’t use seasoning packet) broken up; ¼ c. sesame seeds; 2 Tbsp. sugar; ½ c. butter; ¼ c. slivered or sliced almonds.
DRESSING: ¾ c. vegetable oil; ½ c. sugar; 1/ c. red wine vinegar; 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
For Topping: In large skillet, melt butter and add seeds, noodles, almonds, and sugar. Lightly brown on low heat and cool to room temperature.
For Dressing: Mix ingredients in a jar and shake. Refrigerate. Pour dressing over greens just before serving. Toss on the toppings and serve.
