Tuesday August 14: Coney Dogs in support of the youth sailing school. Serving from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Hot dogs, coney sauce, diced onions, and condiments available. Dogs are $5 per person for up to two. Bring a dish to share if you wish.
Saturday August 18: Beef Tenderloin dinner is SOLD OUT!
Tuesday August 21: Fergburgs, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Saturday August 25: Polish dinner. The menu to include:
Golumki – stuffed cabbage
Kielbasa & kapusta – Polish sausage and kraut
Pierogi = potato and cheese dumplings (from the Pierogi Place in Mears)
Ogurki = cucumber salad
Dessert – lemon poppyseed cake with lemon ice cream
Social starts at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.

Cocktails at the Club continue every Friday evening beginning around 5:00 p.m. Bring an appetizer to share if you wish and see who shows up. It’s a great time to get to know fellow LYC members.
BLOOMER CUP WEEKEND (September 7-9) IS RAPIDLY APPROACHING: For those not in the know, the Bloomer Cup is our annual sailboat race that attracts sailors to LYC for the weekend starting Friday with a reception and outdoor movie, and the race and dinner with entertainment on Saturday.
Dale Fitch is looking for volunteers to assist in making the weekend event a success. He is looking for members to help in all aspects; committee boat timers & record keeping, members with powerboats who would like to set and retrieve marks and members to help with this, help with movie night on Friday evening, assist with setup, execution, and cleanup of the dinner (a grill your own steak (meat provided) event) on Saturday, and a final cleanup on Sunday. Please call Dale to volunteer!
The next Wednesday night sailboat race will be Wednesday August 15! Please see the attachment from Dale Fitch for all the details. This is a regular Wednesday evening event through out the summer.
