It’s Octoberfest at LYC on Saturday October 6!  Call or text Sandy for reservations by Thursday October 4. Social at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 7:00 p.m.   Menu to include:

Sauerbraten beef roast

Mashed potatoes

Red cabbage and sauerkruat

Surprise dessert

Cocktails at the Club continue on Fridays beginning around 5:00 p.m.  Bring an appetizer to share if you wish.

Saturday October 13:  Christmas in October (swiss steak + potluck, no reservations, no cost!); cash & clothing donations to the Ludington High School Student Resource Center will be accepted.

There have been multiple requests for Steve Millers Clam Chowder recipe that was served at the recent shrimp dinner.

Steve Miller’s LYC Clam Chowder

2 cans (18.5 oz ea)    Progesso New England Clam Chowder

2 cans (10.5 oz ea)    Cream of Potato Soup

1 can (6.5 oz)    Chopped Clams

1 can (10oz)    Whole Baby Clams

2.5 cups    Half and Half

4 Tbs     Butter

Black Pepper to taste

Servings    8

This will be a $15 per person meal and the menu will include:

Fergburgs and Coney Dog Tuesdays are over for the season.  Collectively, around $3,800 was raised for the Youth Sailing School.  Thanks to the sponsors, attendees and our burgermeister Gary Ferguson and his crew.
