News from the Social Committee.
The social committee will once again be hosting a “kick-off to summer” cocktail party fundraiser on June 10, 2023 starting at 5:30 p.m.

The fundraiser will benefit Ludington Schools Youth Resource Center. Mark Boon will be attending the event and speaking about all the wonderful ways the resources are distributed to our area youth.
There will be heavy appetizers and desserts served to thank the donors who generously give to this event. The event will not charge an entry fee but reservations with Sandy Gomez are encouraged so the committee can estimate food needed.
Please show your support for this worthy cause. Donations can be mailed to LYC’s  PO Box 132 attention LYRC or brought the night of the event. The social committee will also have a donation box at the LYC bar during Friday night cocktails, Saturday dinner functions and Ferg Burgs. Checks should be made payable to the

Ludington Schools Youth Resource Center.
Thank you all in advance for donating to this amazing event.
Odds & EndsAgain, if you wish to take an online alcohol server course, here is a link: https://servingalcohol.com/michigan-alcohol-seller-server-course/   Successful completion will allow you to enter the clubhouse, (the “premises”) and legally “open the bar” to buy beer, wine, or spirits.  Cost is $12.50 and the certification is good for 3 years.  We would like a large number of  members certified.  Please let Becky and/or I know if you take the course and provide us with a copy of the completion certificate.
Last year, the LYC obtained a Specially Designated Merchant  (SDM) license in addition to our Club Liquor License.  The SDM license allows for the sale and take out (off premises) of beer, wine and seltzers (only).  Attached is the policy and operational details we will follow going forward regarding the takeout of beer, wine & seltzers.  Please direct questions to Becky or myself.
