Ludington Yacht Club

Saturday June 25 is the Brisket dinner hosted by Tim & Andrea Large, Rich & Beth Kirby & Todd & Julie Schrader with assistance from Carol Nelson, Ann Flutur, & Darlene Ponko.  Menu to include Chip & Salsa, Beef Brisket, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Bread, and Texas Sheet Cake.  Cost is $15 per person cash or punch combination.  Social starts at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.  Reservations will be taken starting Sunday June 19 and close when a maximum of 72 reservations have been taken.   Please call or text Sandy Gomez (231-690-6224)to make a reservation and please, if you leave a message, include your full name to help Sandy out.  At this writing there are still seats available…don’t miss this one!!!

Cocktails at the Club as usual Friday June 24 starting around 5:30 p.m.

Luci & I (and Mom) wish to thank all our helpers who made last night’s swiss steak dinner a resounding success.  This includes: Becky Erickson, Sandy Gomez, Rob Kotecki & Ione Condit, Jim & Kathy Kuk, Rodger & Patty James, Les & Jill Kaines, Tim Tibbits, Mike (“Bucko”) Bourke, Gary Ferguson & Sheryl Baun, Marina & Jim McGee, Kaye Holman, Scott & Guen Hultman, Frances VanAmeyden, and Ted Towl.  I want to also thank everyone in attendance for raising their glasses in toast to my mother and singing Happy Birthday on her impending 95th birthday on Tuesday.  It meant the world to her!!
Upcoming Social Events:
Tuesday June 14:  Fergburgs in support of the Ludington Youth Sailing School (LYSS).  Serving from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  For a $10 donation, you receive the best burger in town (grilled onions & cheese if you desire) along with a choice of sides.  Fergburgs will occur every other Tuesday throughout the 2022 season. 

Friday June 17 – “Kick Off to Summer Cocktail Party” from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.We ask that you call or text Sandy Gomez (231-690-6224) or Sheryl Baun (586-662-1016) to let them know that you plan to attend so that we can plan accordingly for food. Please call or text by Wednesday June 15.

We will be serving an array of complimentary hors d’oeuvres and of course, Becky will be mixing libations for purchase at the bar.

This is a donation event with all proceeds going to Ludington Schools Youth Resource Center, so, cash or check please. Your generous gift helps support students of financial need here in Ludington. We currently have matching pledges for $5000.00 so it’s really important for you to support as you see fit. We would love to see us make the match and donate $10,000.00; we know we can

.Mark Boon will be in attendance to explain what the Resource Center means to the community and persons in need.  If you have never heard Mark speak about the need and what donations mean, be sure to have a Kleenex handy as some of his examples will bring tears to your eyes!

This party is sure to be one of the highlights of our summer social calendar as it is one of two special fundraiser events for the Ludington Schools Youth Resource Center. Come in your cocktail dress or cut offs, just come to have fun and support a most worthy cause!
