Things get underway at 11:00 a.m. with a Captain’s meeting at the club for sailors in the race. The race starts at 1:30 p.m. in Lake Michigan. Applications are online and at the club. The race committee is hoping for a great turnout of sailors and boats for this, our signature event.
Following the race will be a pig roast open to all! Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and consist of the pig of course, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, rolls, dessert. This will be a $10 meal, cash or punch and the social committee assures that no one will go away hungry! The bar will be serving up libations as usual. We have a special license for this event that allows non members to purchase alcohol from the bar.
Friday August 22 is the usual Cocktails at the Club for those wishing to get an early start on the festivities around 5:00 p.m. Bring an appetizer to share if you desire.
