Saturday, August 9th, is Fiesta Ole! Hosted by the Ottos and the Gillettes. The menu will include Cheese/Spinach Enchiladas, Chicken Enchiladas, Rice, Tamales, Chipolte Salsa for appetizer, and Chocolate Sheet Cake with ice cream for dessert. Fish Fry originally scheduled for Saturday August 16 has been cancelled as it is the same day as the Boat Club’s fish fry for Hospice. Let’s all support this worthy cause by attending the Boat Club’s event!
Sunday August 17th. LYC will be hosting a benefit for LYSS. An Ice Cream Social is planned from 2-5 on the Club lawn. The cost is $2 with an additional donation optional. The event will be open to the public and advertised on radio and in the paper. The LYSS graduates will be showing off their newly acquired skills.
Finally, it is time to start thinking about Christmas in October. Kaye and Luci will be once again collecting new, unwrapped Toys for Tots, Gifts for Teens at the club. You can bring a toy contribution to any of the above activities and leave it “by the tree”.
