Upcoming Events at LYC

Both Friday and Saturday evening shrimp dinners are fully reserved at this time (7:00 p.m. Thursday).  Thanks to everyone who committed to attending one night or the other.  Remember, social at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. both nights.

Commodore Gail Kretchman has appointed the following LYC members to the nominating committee:  Gary Ferguson, Chris Knudsen, and Luci Lavis.  The purpose of the committee is to solicit LYC members to seek election to Flag Officer positions for 2015 and post a suite of candidates to be voted upon at the October 14 annual meeting.  At that meeting, nominations will also be accepted from the floor.  However, it is the desire of the committee to know of all interested members that wish to seek office before the meeting so that they can be fully vetted and be included with the recommended slate.  Please contact either Gary (690-3710), Chris (233-3653) or Luci (843-1561) if you are interested in further service to the LYC.

Tuesday September 23 is the last Fergburg night for the season.  Burgers will be served from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. for $5 each.  If you wish, please bring a dish to share that compliments a Fergburg!

Saturday September 27 the social committee will serve pulled pork barbeque sandwiches for $3 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Bring a dish to pass.  Following at around 7:00 will be the final Karaoke session for the season.  Come and join in the fun!

September 12th and 19th Activities at LYC

Cocktails at the Club is this Friday September 12 starting around 5:00 p.m. as usual.
The peel & eat boiled shrimp dinner is planned for Friday September 19 and Saturday September 20.  In addition to the shrimp. the menu will include clam chowder, red skin potato, mixed veggies, rice, salad, bread, and dessert.  Social starts at 6:00 p.m.and dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m.  Cost for this meal is $15 cash or punches.

Reservations are necessary!  There is limited space already for Friday evening but plenty of seating available for Saturday at this time.  Please respond to this message or call Luci (843-1561) and indicate which night, how many folks are attending, and if all are members (please included names) or are non-member guests.  Seating is capped at 80 for each evening.
