Ludington Yacht Club

Tuesday September 6 – FERGBURGS in support of the Sailing School.  Same program as always.  Grilling the best burger in town starting at 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. unless we run out first.  Ten bucks gets you the burger and choice of 2 sides; potato salad, coleslaw, beans, or cream corn.  I have it on special authority that this week’s bean choice will be Greg Moyer’s recipe (a side at the wing dinner) prepared by Steve Miller.

Tuesday September 6 – General Membership Meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Stick around and let your burger digest.

BLOOMER CUP WEEKEND – September 9-10:

Cocktails at the Club on Friday September 9 from 5:30 – ? to welcome visiting sailors for race on Saturday.
Following the race on Saturday September 10 will be a dinner served at 6:00 p.m.  Everyone is welcome and reservations are not required.  $15 per person.Menu to include fried chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw, sliced tomato, and dessert.

We are hoping for a great turnout for this year’s race and celebration following!

Details surrounding the activities and a registration form are attached to this message. Please get your registrations filled out and turned into a member of the race committee as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Hope to see you out there!

A big shoutout of congratulation and thank you to Brad Beagle & Cory Rogers and their crew for the outstanding Italian dinner last evening.  The lasagna, chicken alfredo, antipasto salad, and garlic bread were all superb.  And the tiramisu for dessert was absolutely delicious!  Nothing but kudos from the 60+ members and guests in attendance. And thanks to everyone who pitched to help make cleanup short work!

Tuesday August 30 – Salmon Bytes to support the Sailing School.  As usual, fried salmon, french fries, and coleslaw are on the menu.  In addition, Steve Miller will be serving up his much sought after Clam Chowder to go along with the meal.  All for a $10 per person donation to the sailing school.  Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 7:00 p.m.  

Thursday September 1 – Weekly Beer Can sailboat race.  Skippers meeting at 4:30 p.m.  Race starts at 5:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
Friday September 2 – Cocktails at the Club beginning around 5:30 p.m.  Bring an appetizer to share if you wish and join this informal gathering of members.
Bloomer Cup- September 9/10
The Bloomer Cup sailboat race is scheduled to take place on Saturday September 10th with pre-race activities on Friday evening.   The Social Committee is hosting a dinner following the race to include Mac & Cheese, Fried Chicken, Cole Slaw, sliced tomatoes and dessert. This is a great opportunity to show off our club and meet with members from other clubs.  Further details on the race and dinner will follow, stay tuned.
