Ludington Yacht Club

The Annual Membership Meeting is this Tuesday October 15 at 7:30 p.m.   A potluck dinner will precede the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Elections for next year’s flag officers will occur at this meeting.  The nominating committee has nominated the following LYC members as officers for 2014:

Commodore- Gail Kretchman
Vice Commodore- Mike Robinson
Rear Commodore- Richard Koths
Secretary- Dennis Lavis
Treasurer- Steve Miller

Additional nominations may be made from the floor at the annual meeting. Nominations from the floor will require a second to the nomination and it is advisable that anyone being nominated be present at the meeting.

The Board of Directors and Stockholder meetings will follow adjournment of the general membership meeting.

There will be a Board meeting following the annual membership meeting for the purpose of discussing a recommendation from the dock committee to increase dock fees by 10% for the 2014 season.

There will be cocktails @ the Club again next Friday evening. Come on down after work and bring an appetizer to share if you would like.

Saturday October 19th will be our Oktoberfest Dinner. Koths and Kretchmans will host . Cocktails will begin at 6 followed by dinner at 7. The cost of the event will be $10 or a punch if you still have one.

For those of you wishing to attend the LYC Oktoberfest Event on October 19th, please reserve your choir by calling Gail Kretchman @ 616-490-1255.

The menu is brats, sauerkraut, sweet & sour red cabbage, hot German potato salad, rye bread, sautéed apples and “pumpkin crunch cake for dessert.

Kaye will be serving up cocktails and good dark beer to complement the meal. There are still a few bottles of wine for sale if you would like one for your table.

November 2nd will be our last event – the traditional Michigan/Michigan State Game. Details to follow.

We will be closing the club the 3rd. Helpers are needed.
