Bloomer Cup Revised Announcement and Sailing Instructions

28 Aug

The race committee of the Ludington Yacht Club has revised the race instructions (link) for the Pentwater to Ludington race scheduled for Saturday, September 1.  The start of the race will be based on a reverse start format based on the PHRF rating for each individual yacht.  The race will be a main and jib event only.  The race will start at the north pier of the Pentwater harbor and will end at the south pier of the Ludington Pier.

The race committee has made this change to make this event more enjoyable and to hopefully attract more participants.  Please consult the Revised Racing Instructions for details.

All participants and guests are invited to a brats and corn dinner at the Ludington Yacht Club following the race.  All yachts are also invited to the Bloomer Cup Regatta to be held Sunday, September 2  outside the Ludington harbor.  Participants and guests are also invited to the Bloomer Cup dinner and party following the race on Sunday.  Dockage at the Ludington Yacht Club is provided for all race participants.
